Zenith
A Friend of ours who knows that I’m into “Radios” brought this radio by yesterday and I have it sitting on the table of my ham shack.
It’s a Zenith Shortwave Portable Radio.
When he brought it over we spent some time opening it up, front and back. No question it needs to be cleaned up, has lost a handle and the case is far from being “just like new”, but it’s fun just having it sitting there.
In the next few days, while I continue to decide what to do about a VHF/UHF radio along with upgrading the antenna system here at the house in Scottsdale, I plan to spend some time cleaning and seeing if I can plug the Zenith in to the AC and bring back something from the AIRWAVES.
